About Aon Capital Advisory: The Corporate Finance team is an integral part of the broader U.S. Aon Capital Advisory group, a firm-wide joint venture that combines expertise across various Aon disciplines, including Corporate Finance, Analytics and Reinsurance Solutions. The goal of the group is to maximize collective experience to provide objective and tailored holistic advice on the capital supporting clients' business and how it can be optimized. The group is led by a senior Aon executive with oversight from the Global Head of Strategic Growth and Development. We work with insurers, reinsurers, investment firms, banks, and corporations to manage complex commercial issues through the provision of corporate finance advisory services, capital markets solutions, and innovative risk management products. We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Full-Time Senior Analyst in our Corporate Finance Group in New York, NY. Description: Join a team of professionals at Aon focused on providing corporate finance advisory services to Aon's (re)insurance clients. The role is client facing and will be focused on modeling the financial and valuation impacts of strategic decisions our clients are evaluating, including: structuring reinsurance programs, utilizing captives and alternative risk management strategies, entering and exiting lines of business or geographies, raising capital, restructuring, and M&A transactions. The individual will work in a team environment on a variety of tasks, including: Financial Modeling and Analysis - constructing three statement financial models and projections, discounted cash flow models and M&A combination analyses Maintaining Valuation Analyses - performing comparable company, comparable transaction, regression, and discounted cash flow analyses Synthesizing Information and Making Recommendations - combining data and information from clients and colleagues to inform financial projections and proactively identifying alternative ideas and solutions to meet client goals Presentation Development - assisting in creating senior management and board-level client presentations summarizing findings and recommendations Industry Research - tracking (re)insurance industry trends and translating that information into insights that aid client recommendations Maintaining and Establishing Client Relationships - developing relationships within the Aon organization and growing existing client relationships Requirements: 2-5 years of prior work experience in financial services or (re)insurance, ideally in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, and/or accounting Financial modeling experience Bachelor's Degree ideally in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related major Desired Skills: Knowledge of accounting and finance concepts Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Coding skills, e.g. R or Python are a plus Experience with SQL or relational databases are a plus Prior experience with data analysis concepts, including reproducibility and version control Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Flexible, adaptable in work tasks and approach Ability to work in a collaborative and matrixed environment Focused, with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Good interpersonal skills, client management and communication capabilities Demonstrated history of hard work, with ability to perform under time and deal pressures High self-motivation We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
