Maintenance Reliability Co-op at the Samuel Adams Pennsylvania Brewery

We are currently hiring a Maintenance Reliability Co-op in the Samuel Adams Pennsylvania Brewery in Breinigsville, PA .

The Maintenance Reliability Co-op will be responsible for identifying and executing projects that help our Maintenance and Production Teams achieve their goals. The Co-Op will analyze production data and use their Engineering background to make recommendations for operational and procedural improvements at the Samuel Adams Pennsylvania Brewery.

What You'll Brew:

Process Engineering/Continuous Improvement:



  • Working with multidisciplinary teams including Maintenance, Production, Brewing, Quality assurance, Engineering, OEM, and installation contractors
  • Hands on brewery optimization and troubleshooting of processes and product formulations.
  • Investigating and validating manufacturing technologies.
  • Identifying process equipment and opportunities through testing, establishing operating parameters, and providing process flows diagrams.
  • Documenting and evaluating data and writing technical reports.
  • Assist with design validation cost saving trials.
  • Shadow Supervisory staff, assisting with day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to endure on a daily basis, walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and Hot and Cold in production environment.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Must be a student currently enrolled studying Engineering or related field
  • Must be able to commit to a 6 month Co-Op Cycle - July to December 2022
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills.
  • Proven problem solving/conflict resolution skills; be able to think through issues and arrive at well-thought conclusions.
  • Able to impact and effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-starter, proactive.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous co-op experience within an industrial environment a plus
  • Experience in high speed manufacturing environment a plus
