Public House Assistant Manager - Angel City Brewery/ Truly LA

We are hiring a Public House Assistant Manager for Angel City Brewery (ACB) and Truly LA (TLA) in Los Angeles.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Taproom Managers with the day-to-day operations of both Angel City Brewery & Truly LA; which includes but is not limited to; opening and closing, proper staffing and scheduling, safety and sales building, completing the ACB & TLA Manager's Opening Checklist, cash handling and data entry. They are also responsible for assisting the General Manager in creating a positive guest experience by providing the ACB & TLA team with superior beer education and hospitality training. The team member will assist in enforcing all safety protocols, employee policies, participate in disciplinary conversations and terminations, as needed. The Assistant Manager will help ensure all required position trainings and general part-time employee trainings are completed in a timely manner and will work with the other ACB & TLA Assistant Managers to assist the General Manager in continuously developing, evaluating and coaching our ACB & TLA Team.

This position reports to the Angel City and Truly LA Taproom Manager

What You'll Brew:



  • Responsible for oversight of tip reporting, payroll and adhering to California employment laws.
  • Forecasting, ordering and receiving beer for ACB & TLA as well as maintaining proper beer inventory levels.
  • Continuously developing an exceptional tour and hospitality experience for ACB & TLA guests.
  • Creating draft menus and updating signage/materials as needed.
  • Completes daily hard count, tip-drops, resets tills at proper levels, places change orders and prepares weekly deposits.
  • Ensuring all ACB & TLA employees receive position training and development - bartenders, security, retail, tour guides, bar backs, keyholders, etc., and any other general employee training.
  • Participates in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training of Retail Associates and all ACB & TLA employees.
  • Ensures that the cleanliness of ACB & TLA and the safety of our guests and employees are always maintained.
  • Works with internal and contracted security to ensure all ACB & TLA policies and all industry legal protocol are followed at all times


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service / cocktail environment
  • Must be well versed in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Square
  • TIPS certified
  • Ability to lift and move objects p to 60lbs
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and climb stairs
  • Ability to maneuver 160lb kegs
  • Ability to perform professionally in a bar setting
  • Ability to maintain flexibility with scheduling needs required for Angel City Brewery and Truly LA management team


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior experience in public speaking
  • Strong retail inventory management experience (including knowledge of COGS, margins, inventory, management new product development, and merchandising
