We are currently hiring a BI Data Quality Analyst I in Boston, MA.

The BI Data Quality Analyst I works within the Data Quality and Business Intelligence teams to ensure data sources are ready to provide accurate, reliable data. Reporting to the BI Data Quality Manager, this valued role will help support Boston Beer's data quality function, specializing in validation of data for reporting, resolution of data quality issues, and responding to user issues and requests related to data quality. This position works closely with the rest of the Business Intelligence Team, Business Analysis team and our data partners to resolve data quality issues raised by the business. This position also plays a key role in coordinating setup of certain master data elements. This role presents opportunities to define and design the data quality process. The role involves communication, coordination, and a detail-oriented mindset. Experience and aptitude for working with reporting and analytical tools are key for this role.

What You'll Brew:



  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of data quality through rigorous analysis and auditing of all data used in reporting
  • Responsible for working with internal customers, external customers, and vendors to ensure timely resolution of data issues and problems
  • Use Power BI, Excel, and other tools to analyze data and identify issues, using both pre-defined tools and creating ad-hoc approaches.
  • Prioritize and track issues through to resolution, verifying results and communicating status.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes supporting data quality, master data, and related areas.
  • Adhere to IT department policies and procedures when performing tasks to ensure controls are in place and departmental goals are met

Minimum Requirements



  • 1+ years of experience in a data-intensive role such as data analyst or audit
  • Co-op / internship work considered depending on education background
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multitask


Preferred Requirements



  • College degree in a related field
  • Experience with sales reporting is a plus
  • Experience with a business intelligence systems, such as Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, is a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL programming or other languages such as python or R
