Business Development Manager
Oversees the development of strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments, identifies volume and strategic customers, and develops partnerships. Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information, and creates compelling market analysis presentations. May conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/merger/acquisition perspective.
Responsibilities
- Master Synopsys target market, business drivers and strategies
- Qualify potential business opportunities
- Execute the necessary activities to meet goals
- Leverage all contacts to identify other prospects through referrals
- Identify key stakeholders and position Synopsys appropriately
- Support field sales representatives in North America
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related expertise.
- Possesses a solid understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of one other related area.
- Exercises self-directed judgement in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions and resolves issues in creative ways.
- Executes projects from start to completion. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project while working on team-driven or task-oriented projects.
- Determines and develops recommendations to solutions.
- May guide more junior peers with aspects of their job.
- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill, to a professional proficiency
- Interest in a high-tech sales career
- Proactive mentality and can work well in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Team player with a customer-focused attitude
- Excellent time management skills
- Previous experience in a software related enterprise is a plus
- Understanding of salesforce.com is a plus
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $79,000 to $138,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
