Associate Corporate Counsel

CommScope is looking to add Corporate Counsel to our legal team.

Under the direction of CommScope's Managing Corporate Counsel, this position will provide legal counsel, advice, and guidance for the Company's commercial operations in North America. Preferred locations for this position are Shakopee, MN, Horsham, PA, Hickory, NC, and Richardson, TX with the potential for hybrid or fully remote work per CommScope policies.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World.

As an attorney for CommScope, we will look to you to be a counselor, with a good amount of work being on (sales side) contract negotiation. Here, you will counsel on risks and ways to mitigate and help advance the business. Growth initiatives are key and this role will counsel the business in the form of proactive legal advice. CommScope is pushing the boundaries of communications technology, therefore, counseling on ways to be more efficient in processes and procedures through innovation, training, and education will be a part of this dynamic opportunity.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• A completed Law Degree with 4+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role.
• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or Texas or the ability to obtain an in-house license.
• Proficient with commercial law and/or contracts.
• Developed drafting skills with keen attention to detail.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills - verbal and written - able to capture relevant information and optimally document and articulate findings.
• Skilled in problem-solving and analytical reasoning.
• A track record of motivating change across a matrix organization.

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

• Experience with software licensing.
• Experience with technology transactions.
