Responsibilities

Foundations Behavioral Health is currently seeking a full time Unit Coordinator to support our RTF Unit for Day Shift (7am to 3pm). This is a 40 hr per week position with every other weekend and every other holiday requirement.

Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health and academic services to children, adolescents and young adults working through a wide range of mental or behavioral health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorders. In collaboration with families, community supports and other providers, Foundations incorporates evidence-based, culturally responsive, and individualized treatment interventions within a nurturing, therapeutic environment.

The Unit Coordinator is an integral member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team and assumes responsibilities for day-to-day operations on a patient care unit with an inpatient psychiatric facility. Responsibilities include the implementation of and adherence to the program schedules and activities; management of the physical environment and supplies, including maintain par levels; and modeling best practice interventions for children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting, including interventions for children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum disorder as well as other mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma, impulse control and conduct disorders. The Unit Coordinator works in close collaboration with and under the direction of the unit Charge Nurse, MHT Manager, and Program Directors to respond timely to the needs of the unit.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or equivalent experience in a Human Services field.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a bed based psychiatric program, such as inpatient hospital or residential treatment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children and adolescents; experience working with children and adolescent who have developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
  • Must have successfully completed or be willing to complete the RBT Task List training and must demonstrate the ability to understand and appropriately apply these concepts.
