Manager PPM Commercial Contracts

The PPM Commerical Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of CDW partner agreement negotiations and will act as the primary point of contact for any necessary coordination with CDW Legal counsel. This includes working with the PPM Brand and category teams, the PPM Partner Development team, and other stakeholders to understand: the inherent partner business models and applicable CDW selling motions, CDW's preferred forms of governing legal agreements, and any optimal terms and conditions. The Manager will create and own a process to evaluate, draft, and negotiate any new partner agreements or ammendments, and track and communicate all existing partner agreements. This is a senior level position that involves considerable interaction with both internal and external resources, consultants, subject experts, legal and partner teams. In performing this role, the Manager must possess industry/partner knowledge, negotiation experience and strong leadership skills.

Key Areas of Responsibility



  • Manages the end to end partner agreement process while gathering all necessary information from stakeholders.
  • Monitor and ensure proposed contractual terms and conditions are aligned with CDW preferred position.
  • Encourages collaboration and joint problem solving to identify creative, mutually advantageous options.
  • Lead, motivate and energize internal and external team members to produce a best and final offer, which includes identifying risks, financial and performance incentives, an effective governance model and a flexible, adaptable relationship.
  • Coordinate smooth partner agreement transition to the PPM Partner Development team, and/or the PPM Brand and Categoey teams to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with all deliverables.
  • Work closely with functional departments (e.g. PPM, Legal, ITS, Finance, etc.) to assure awareness of the negotiations strategy and integrated approach.
  • Qualify and document all received requests in tracking system, including follow ups with the Legal and PPM teams and other stakeholders to gather additional relevant information as needed.


Education and/or Experience Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 years similar proposal writing, legal experience, or other relevant experience in Sales, Business Analysis, or related field.


Required Qualifications



  • Demonstrated track record of successful proposal management including major awards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent research and analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with coworkers, management and executives.
  • Ability to effectively interact within different levels of the organization and within different departments.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to find solutions while working independently.
  • Ability to influence or gain acceptance from stakeholders in sensitive situations.


Preferred Qualifications



  • 5 to 10 years of experience with proposals and/or contracts.
  • Experience with and understanding of general contract principles.
  • Advanced capability with Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrable IT product and customer knowledge.
  • Practitioner Certification (APMP) or Paralegal Certification.
