Responsible for the analysis of the EmblemHealth and ConnectiCare value-based provider network by developing tools such as dashboards and scorecards, and by identifying areas of opportunity for cost savings and revenue. Collaborate cross departmentally to gather data and ensure accuracy of all analyses. Support value-based data governance and optimization activities to assure alignment and accuracy of outputs. Communicate analytic findings to both internal and external partners. Manage data projects and initiatives across departments. Serve as subject matter expert in the area of value-based analytics and present data internally and externally.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop dashboards, scorecards and trends, key performance indicators (KPIs)/Key Business Indicators (KBIs), data dictionaries and reports to support existing value-based contracts and the development new contracts.
  • Maintain the accuracy of all reports distributed both within the department and externally. Work with other functional areas to ensure that analyses are accurate.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue and prioritize focus areas for providers.
  • Utilize knowledge of EmblemHealth's various processing systems including claims, provider, and enrollment systems in order to understand how analyses should be conducted.
  • Responsible for developing and executing data strategy to support value-based analytics.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop processes to deliver data to and receive data from providers.
  • Track and communicate dashboard changes to IT and ensure completion.
  • Ensure departmental compliance is reported accurately and department and corporate goals are met.
  • Assist Value-Based Network Managers and others on the Engagement/Contracting Team in developing and explaining adhoc analyses to providers.
  • Present analyses to executive leadership, providers, and other internal functional areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business or related major; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5 - 8+ years' related health insurance or Health Consulting experience (R)
  • Experience in data analysis, modeling and macro development. (R)
  • Proficient with MS Office products (R)
  • Strong communication skills with all types/levels of audience (R)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, SAS, SQL, and VBA (R)
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data; and to develop and deliver actionable reports and presentations (R)
  • Experience with analyzing claims, membership, provider and quality data (R)
  • Knowledge of Tableau (P)
