Job Description

As an Organizational Effectiveness Director, you thrive in an environment of high growth, innovation, and change. You are passionate, qualified, and experienced in defining and organizational effectiveness solutions strategically aligned to enterprise needs and objectives. You bring a high degree of adaptability, resilience, and flexibility. You have experience leading large-scale change and transformation efforts, experience setting and implementing change strategy, building aligning around a vision, and creating stakeholder and business leader communications. You are skilled a prioritizing needs and solutions, identifying gaps and improving processes and programs. You are a thought leader and a continuous learner.

This role is within SVB's Organizational Effectiveness COE with a focus on the growing Product Division. The goal of this role is to create and manage the roadmap of all organizational change management activities in working closely with the Chief Product Manager, Product Division Chief of Staff Office, Product Division Leadership Team and Human Resources leaders. Out of the gate, your expertise in organizational effectiveness will be key in helping the Division optimize its career development framework in collaborating with your partners across HR.

You will also be an active member of SVB's Organizational Effectiveness COE to collaborate, share best practices, and provide thought leadership to further SVB's Organizational Effectiveness methodology and services across the bank.

Responsibilities of the Organizational Effectiveness Director are listed, but not limited to:

  • Partners on execution of strategic enterprise initiatives to advise on strategy for organization effectiveness roadmap and organizational impacts
  • Provide consultationand recommendationsto top managementbased on experience,SVB's methodology andexternalresearch, for complex organization effectiveness engagements
  • Active member of Organizational Effectiveness COE, advisor/subject matter expert to SVB Change Community and thought leader to OE methodology and solutions advancement
  • Embeds a culture of change resilience throughout engagements and enterprise wide
  • Maintains a big-picture perspective to align the specific strategic initiative assigned to the broader SVB enterprise strategy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and an advanced degree in Business Administration, HR or Organization Development is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of management consulting experience or 10 years of practical subject matter experience within change management, operating model design and/or transformation.
  • Experience managing large change initiatives and change methodologies, includingconducting change stakeholder and impact assessment, change strategy, conducting communication and training needs assessments, measurement plans and executing on change plans.
  • ACMP, PROSCI, or similar (not required)
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and create structure to drive results.
  • Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues .
  • Solves issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Bring consultative skills to scope and design change programs.
  • Demonstrates use of effective influencing tactics and strategies.
  • Ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Workshop facilitation to create alignment and deliverables (E.g Charters, Governance Models...)
  • Understanding of the criticality of getting things done despite current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.
  • Knowledge of client relationship; ability to address issues critical issues to meet client needs and maintain engaged, partnering relationship with business partners and clients.
  • Demonstrated success in working across business lines and functions.
  • Familiarity with Project Management software tools and methods.
  • Proven ability in positively affecting business outcomes through thorough understanding of the change process and applying relevant change interventions.
