The IS&T Collaboration & Productivity team enables the collaboration and productivity that brings that innovation to life. As the Manager of Collaboration and Productivity Product Strategy team, this role will lead a team of product managers responsible for the vendor-based tools in the C&P product portfolio. These tools are used throughout Apple to facilitate team collaboration, any time, any way. Some of the tools we deliver provide features to enhance large segments of our daily workflow such as Meeting Experience, File Sync & Share, Chat, Content Collaboration, and Community Management. Help us define the team's future vision, working within our organization and the larger Apple organization, as well as directly with our vendors, to deliver valuable software solutions for both internal and external users. Key Qualifications
  • At least 7+ years of product management experience leading tools or consumer products, with at least one entire product development cycle from concept to introduction
  • Minimum 5+ years of managing a team or track record in building successful teams
  • Ability to communicate thoughtfully, demonstrating problem-solving skills, active listening, all while continuously learning
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to connect with individuals at all levels, develop strong partnerships, and shift rapidly between communications styles
  • Experience working with data to help advise decisions; identifying data needs, analyzing available data, and efficiently interpreting the data and other available information to drive desired outcomes
  • First-hand responsibility developing and gaining agreement for product vision, strategy and requirements with cross-functional teams.
  • Shown direct and influence-based leadership in dynamic environments
  • Excellent organization skills, acute attention to detail, ability to balance multiple tasks in a constantly evolving, and sometimes ambiguous, environment
  • Naturally accountable, responsible, and self-motivated
- Provide leadership, inspiration, and guidance to a growing team; cultivate a culture of visibility and collaboration - Build and maintain strong working relationships across the team, organization, and Apple at large as well as with the vendors providing and supporting the apps - Be responsible for your product areas. Take ownership of processes, opportunities, challenges; drive product journey from discovery through support - Develop a product roadmap and align on priorities with business, vendors, engineering, design, and project management - Champion your roadmap to drive alignment with and support by the vendor roadmap - Drive product prioritization discussions. Bring ideas to execution by creating and delivering formal presentations. Lead debates and discussions obtain alignment across a broad range of diverse partners across Apple - Brainstorm, design, architect, challenge, debate proposals and designs with distributed teams - Represent business goals and solutions; collaborate cross-functionally to arrive at the optimal outcome for the products and users - Use insights and data to create strategy and features that drive engagement and operational excellence - Maintain top-down, comprehensive view of the platform foundation, mission, strategy, and tactical approach - Deliver presentations to a large variety of audiences, distilling sophisticated problems and decisions to their core - See around corners for future products by staying up to date with global, business, and technology trends and influences
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree, Master's degree or equivalent.
