Calibration Technician II

Job Description

As a part of our growing quality team, this role will partner with our calibration engineer to ensure the measurement & test equipment used to build space vehicles and rocket engines are calibrated and cycled on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing calibration of measurements & test equipment in a metrology lab environment.
  • Maintain accuracy of calibrated item inventory & calibration status.
  • Utilize 3rd party calibration vendors and oversee the logistics of calibration services.
  • Assist manufacturing team with device recall & notification.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
  • 3+ years' experience in technical or technical support role; Manufacturing; Quality Assurance.
  • HS Diploma/GED + calibration related technical training
  • Familiarity with the operation of measurement and test equipment.
  • Comfortable utilizing a computer to maintain, organize & track technical information
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Military PMEL or Post-Secondary metrology training
  • Experience with industry calibration standards (ANSI NCSL Z540.3, ISO/IEC 17025)
  • Experience with industry quality and configuration control system methodologies (AS9100, ISO:9001)
  • Experience developing, operating and maintaining calibration systems & procedures
  • Experience in customer service beneficial
