Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a programmatic professional seeking autonomy and the opportunity to have a hand in the setting of a team's strategic standards and practices. The Programmatic Supervisor is responsible for oversight, performance and day-to-day management of programmatic display and video campaigns across several critical clients' accounts. Candidates for our Programmatic Supervisor role should have extensive experience in the day-to-day management of biddable media campaign across conventional display, digital in-stream video, "native" video + image, and other formats.


  • Lead programmatic media planning, implementation, and optimization for a constantly evolving mix of agency clients
  • Interact with media planning and general strategy teams to translate media briefs, and occasionally more general briefs, into clear and concrete media plans
  • Use business and consumer insights including competitive, audience, behavioral, geography and past campaign performance to inform client plans
  • Be extremely comfortable using and informing a wide variety of marketing KPIs, and providing constructive feedback when KPIs provided by other stakeholders may require additional consideration
  • Consistently deploy a quantitative performance marketing driven approach that you can bridge effectively to broader strategic marketing initiatives
  • Proactive and consistent improvement of all campaigns' ability to meet and exceed quantitative goals
  • Proper identification "steady state / plateau" attainment for certain campaign elements, and analysis + prioritization identifying where we could still reasonably push further and what is needed
  • A bias towards measured action and hypothesis testing when ambiguous situations arise
  • Interaction with Google and 3P data platform staff members to get the right kind of support quickly and efficiently, while always building better working relationships
  • Confidence building meaningful media reports that highlight that which is actually new and/or unknown to the client
  • Comfort taking ad hoc client reporting + analysis requests and carefully considering if the request as is should be fulfilled, or if the client would benefit from guidance
  • Monitoring client, competitor and industry states to inform campaign planning and ensure answers to client questions are readily at hand
  • Oversee junior team member's work and professional development while effectively delegating work


  • 3-4 years of programmatic media buying experience
  • Experience with Google's Display & Video 360 software to such a point that you would be confident helping troubleshoot issues within it swiftly and instructing others
  • Experience working on accounts with ongoing e-commerce revenue and/or vital high value site actions goals
  • High level of Excel expertise as far as: pivot table construction, formula grid building, and advanced chart creation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Point and its enterprise level functions, such that the candidate is comfortable with all methods for managing and building shared documents


  • Experience with Google Campaign Manager and Google Analytics, for media reporting purposes
  • A serious understanding of the concepts of media quality metrics in the fields of viewability and non-human traffic
  • Experience managing display and video in Google Ads
  • Experience in pharmaceutical marketing, and specifically familiarity with the data providers in this space
