The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (
MNSON) invites applications for multiple clinical track faculty positions. We are especially interested in faculty engaged in teaching and scholarship in the following areas:
*adult-gerontology primary care
*medical-surgical nursing
*mental health
*simulation
*pathophysiology and pharmacology
These are non-tenure track open rank positions, for appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank or higher based on the applicant's program of scholarship.
The
MNSON enrolls over 1400 students across three sites and includes 71 full-time faculty. Programs include a
BSN degree with 4 study options, a
MSN degree in nursing and healthcare administration, a
DNP degree with tracks for preparation in nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist roles, and a PhD in Nursing degree.
Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and
MNSON missions, visions, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty members will:
*Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs as appropriate to expertise and program needs
*Employ a variety of teaching/learning strategies in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings
*Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation
*Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education
*Engage in service activities consistent with the mission and strategic vision of the
MNSON, University, and nursing profession
