Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence and Integration with experience managing operational excellence programs in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team! Role Summary: The Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence and Integration role is responsible for developing, implementing, assessing and improving Buckeye's Operational Excellence program. Provide leadership and support to our Operations Leaders, Asset Teams, and Program Owners to achieve and sustain Operational Excellence through analysis, awareness, and strategic continuous improvement initiatives. *The level of this position may be evaluated to more closely match the identified candidates work experience. Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:
- Management: Manage the Operational Excellence Team as related to their primary roles and responsibilities as well as their goals and professional development.
- Operational Excellence (OE) Program and Communications:
- Lead the OE Team and provide strategies, proactive programs, and performance metrics which enhance performance.
- Ensure the OE Team Charter and OE Program procedure are current and effectively implemented including the OE Awards Program.
- Monitor, analyze and recommend enhancements to the LIVE Safe Toolbox (proactive engagement programs) to ensure employee engagement, effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Manage the development of program materials and the scheduling and implementation of annual LIVE Safe Kick-Off Meetings.
- Develop and distribute Monthly OE Performance Updates
- Lead Monthly OE Scorecard review meetings with Operations Leadership to monitor performance and identify areas requiring additional focus or action.
- Develop and conduct Quarterly OE mini-Summits with Program Owners, Regional Leaders and Asset Teams with a focus on Safety, Release Prevention, Quality Control, and other OE Program Initiatives. Develop and implement additional OE communications as required to promote awareness and engagement.
- Coordinate and manage the Annual Operational Excellence Summit.
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Analysis and Reporting. Provide analysis and reporting related to key Operational Excellence, Operations, Performance, and Buckeye Safety & Operations Management System (SOMS) KPIs;
- Develop and distribute key OE, Operations, Performance and SOMS KPIs in accordance with program and Operations requirements
- Consolidate data into KPI Dashboards and Scorecards for review by Senior Leadership
- Analyze and identify meaningful conclusions from KPIs for management review
- Collaborate with Field Operations and Corporate SMEs to drive continuous improvement to KPI program including enhanced performance, efficiency, and reliability related metrics
- Identify new KPIs and drive the continuous improvement aspect of Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with data set owners and IT Business Intelligence Team to enhance KPI reporting and dashboard functionality
- Lessons Learned Process.
- Support the SOMS lessons learned process through management of the Lessons Learned Library
- Corrective Action Management.
- Serve as the Standard Owner for the SOMS Corrective Action Management Standard in accordance with the roles and responsibilities of the Standard. Drive timely completion and evidencing of all identified Corrective Actions.
- Due Diligence and Integration.
- As directed, lead cross-departmental teams to complete due diligence, transition, and integration activities for New Acquisitions. Lead project integration teams to complete integration activities for large capital projects to support operational readiness and integration of the new assets into Buckeye's operations.
- Operations Support.
- Interface with various department Leaders and Teams to review/provide operations input, maintain alignment, and support implementation of new initiatives.
- Support emergency response efforts and participate in incident investigations as required.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, preferably in Organizational Leadership, Business or an Engineering-related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional, related experience in Operations
- Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills
- Advanced experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office (including Power BI), and other Oracle based products are preferred
- Up to 35% travel
