Partner with the best

The Site Commodity Leader shall partner with the Value Stream Leader to shape commodity strategies, achieve deflation targets, manage supply risk and relationships with strategic suppliers. You'll shape commodity strategies, achieve deflation targets, manage supply risk and relationships with strategic suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Mitigate and improve sole-sourced areas - identify, qualify and ramp-up alternate suppliers

Identify and execute material deflation projects to improve product line contribution margin

Achieve supplier consolidation targets

Demonstrated ability to influence others and lead cross functional teams and meetings

SAP data management (Lead Times, Pricing, and New Part Creation process)

Approve price change requests in SAP/Ariba daily and ensure system is updated.

Responsible for all Pattern and Tool Development Purchase Order Management

Provide Sourcing support on escalations from the buying team.

Coordinate with global plants to drive business improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably mechanical) from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in Sourcing).

3+ years of experience in Sourcing

A Mechanical background to understand the manufacturing processes/forgings/machining/other commodities

Desired Characteristics

Have compelling oral, written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

Demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve problems

Demonstrated strong influencing skills

Candidate with working knowledge on SAP
