Our Oilfield Services business provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control our energy extraction assets. Our Digital Team partners with business units and clients to develop software and technical innovation. We create improvements and efficiency through service delivery, remote operations, automation and advanced analytics utilizing machine learning and Ai.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Health and Safety Manager (HSE), you will be responsible for:

  • This category encompasses the senior leadership roles or positions that are responsible for cross functional teams. In Baker Hughes, this would include the leaders of Legal, Enterprise Standards, Global Operations, Services, Resource & Environmental Strategies, Remediation, High Risk Operations and certain additional individuals who report directly to those leaders. This category also includes the EHS Managers for each of the Baker Hughes Businesses.

  • Contributes towards taking important decisions with business relevance or supporting business in making decisions understanding broader cross-functional implications.

  • Ability to communicate high-level concepts to senior leadership. Frequent use of coaching and development of subordinates.

  • Deliver specialized professional work delivered by single-layered team or professional work delivered by multi-layered teams.

  • Handles complex professional work in the department. Cases are unique and sometimes without precedent. Employees are expected to develop new approaches. Knowledge management is important.

  • Responsible for global alignment in HSE best practices for the AMO and field services organizations

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related subject

  • Be certified in one or more relevant HSE and lead auditor certifications

  • Have substantial experience of working within the HSE discipline and framework

  • Demonstrate experience of leading, mentoring and motivating large teams within a global matrix environment

  • Show experience of managing large engineering budgets

  • Have atleast 7 years' experience in health, safety & environment in the oil & gas industry
