This Design Engineer is responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of consolidated pressure relief and safety relief products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function.

As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Working includes mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products including leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
  • Communicating across direct organization including presenting to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.
  • Connecting the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business. Communicates across the function in area of expertise

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college and 3+ yrs of experience in Mechanical Component.
  • Have experience in designing Pressure Relief and Safety Relief Valves
  • Have great oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills.
