As the Global Category Leader - Distribution & Logistics (OFS) you will be responsible for:

  • Member of the Sourcing & Procurement function with operational accountability to the Global Logistics Director (OFS). Responsible for the oversight of all process, policies and methods for the evaluation, negotiation and contracting of logistics, transportation and 3rd Parties related to fulfillment operations.
  • Leverage existing policies and practices in the Sourcing and Procurement organization and deploy across the Product Line and Regional logistics organizations and control towers.
  • Provide leadership on the global category strategy for logistics.
  • Collaborate with local sourcing/procurement teams (within regions) to execute the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation and contracting of logistics and 3PL services.
  • Lead the cross-functional collaboration with Logistics HQ team, PL logistics leads and Region Logistics leaders/organizations.
  • Drive the execution and implementation of the sourcing, negotiations and contracting strategies to achieve category deflation, cash, supply base rationalization, spend under contract and rest of business' KPIs.
  • Supplier Management - Leverage a standard framework to classify suppliers and implement SRM programs.
  • Develop methods for QBRs and other performance reviews with logistics/transportation service providers.
  • Evaluating and monitoring the risk profile of the supply base, identify mitigation targets and implement risk improvement initiatives.
  • Develop a portfolio of sourcing/category initiatives and deliver cost reductions & deflation against challenging current and multi-year savings targets.
  • Manage a dual reporting between Logistics Operational teams and the Procurement/Sourcing organization. Driving standard procurement policies/procedures to all activities related to the arrangement, purchase and contracting with transportation companies and 3PLs.

Fuel your Passion

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in Logistics, Transportation or related field;
  • 5+ years of working for transportation service provider/ carrier (not mode specific)
  • Strong experience with understanding of freight spend and the breakdown of components unique to various modes of transportation.
  • Strong global leadership & influence skills that inspire trust, collaboration and operational excellence (5+ years)
  • A proven track record of cost reduction/savings delivery and ability to manage complexity and change.
  • Ability to work in a highly metric-driven environment and deliver against challenging performance targets.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process and/or teams in change management.
  • Ability to lead through influence, recommend sourcing strategies and deliver business results.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence peers and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational and leadership skills.
  • Communicates and influences effectively, with the ability to motivate and influence others inside and outside of own function.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to plan tasks, assign resources, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus and motivate team members across multiple functions, regions and product lines (+5 years)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to the given audience. Can present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask in a flexible, fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Strong process and cost improvement skills.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
