Job Overview

Advantest America, a leading Semiconductor Test and Measurement Company, is seeking self-driven and creative individuals to be part of the US ART (Applied Research Team). The US ART is part of a global strategic effort to integrate our test and measurement solutions across the entire semiconductor value chain using cloud, AI, and data analytics technologies.

We are seeking a highly organized, goal-oriented program manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will lead and supervise major US ART programs and projects through completion, overseeing successful output. You will outline the program/project's goals and objectives, and act as a liaison between the US ART staff and other internal or external partners, as well as upper management. Key focus areas for this position will be programs with a significant level of mechanical and electrical content related to semiconductor test cells. The ideal candidate should have a broad level of experience in these areas.

This position can be located at our US R&D locations in San Jose, CA, Irvine, CA, or Austin, TX.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Strategize and outline goals and objectives of multiple programs/projects
  • Work with rest of US ART management team to assign engineers to projects
  • Estimate and implement program budgets
  • Set program and project controls/governance/standards
  • Monitor multiple programs/projects through the entire development life cycle
  • Manage the day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects
  • Set milestones and checkpoint dates
  • Coordinate and utilize resources for multiple projects
  • Create and manage documentation plan
  • Interface with customers as required on project plans
  • Provide technical guidance as required, and assess proposed technical solutions versus requirements, technical risks, cost goals, and schedule goals
  • Identify and properly address any potential project risks
  • Solve problems and issues as required to keep projects on track.
  • Track program/project progress
  • Communicate program objectives, goals, and progress to engineering team, partners, upper management, and other key stakeholders
  • Evaluate programs and projects for successful execution and institute process improvements
  • Manager collaborative workspace tools for team
  • Lead and mentor engineering staff on successful project execution
  • Prepare and present status updates and checkpoint reviews to US ART managements
  • Assist team members when needed to accomplish team goals
