Salary for Announcement
The salary range for this position is $45,300-$68,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training.

The above salary ranges represent the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the ranges of possible compensation at the time of posting. MSU Denver offers a full benefits package.

Position Summary
Housed in the Office of Curriculum, Academic Effectiveness, and Policy Development ( CAEPD), the Program Review Coordinator will lead efforts in the areas of Academic Program Review ( APR) and Academic Unit Review ( AUR). The Coordinator will report to the Director of Academic Program Review.
APR evaluates MSU Denver's educational programs offered in a consistent, thorough way for the purpose of assessing the academic quality, efficiency, and accountability of programs. AUR provides a systemic review of all Academic Affairs student support units, designed to enhance the quality of services provided to students. Program and unit reviews operate within the context of state accountability systems and the process provides a critical component in the university maintaining accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission.
This position will be responsible for collecting and maintaining key components of the APR process. Additionally, this position will lead the AUR process, ensuring a thorough review of each student support unit. This position requires extensive experience managing projects of varying complexity. Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of program assessment and process improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities
55% Academic Program Review (APR)

  • Provide project coordination and administrative support to two APR committees:
  • Academic Program Review Committee (APRC)
  • Academic Program Review Subcommittee (APRS).
  • Partner closely with the Academic Effectiveness office's data manager to effectively collect, interpret, and distribute data used as part of the program review process.
  • Collaborate with program chairs to develop and track program initiatives based on individualized data supplied by program review.
  • Hire and manage external consultants.
  • Craft evaluation templates, best practices guidelines, and training materials under the direction of the Director of Academic Program Review.
  • Manage program review budgets and meet reporting guidelines.
  • Organize calendars, develop meeting agendas, and record meeting minutes.
  • Maintain multiple SharePoint groups and program review file repositories, as needed.
  • Serve as the website content manager for the program review website.


35% Academic Unit Review (AUR)

  • Manage the implementation of a redesigned unit review process.
  • Manage the ongoing unit review of all student services units on a 7-year schedule.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a committee who assists with AUR processes.
  • Partner closely with the Academic Effectiveness office's data manager to effectively collect, interpret, and distribute data used as part of the unit review process.
  • Craft evaluation templates, best practices guidelines, and training materials under direction of the Director of Academic Program Review.
  • Manage unit review budgets and meet reporting guidelines.
  • Organize calendars, develop meeting agendas, and record meeting minutes.
  • Maintain multiple SharePoint groups and unit review file repositories as needed.
  • Serve as the website content manager for the unit review website.

10% Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in communications, organizational development, business administration, or a similarly related field.
  • At least three years experience with program or process improvement initiatives.
  • At least one year of experience in data analysis.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least five years experience working in higher education.
  • Expert user of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with website content management and knowledge of website design software such as Dreamweaver, SharePoint, Terminal Four, or similar.
  • Capability in providing technical software training and support.
