Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining / increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts across a broad market base (Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, General Industrial, IT/Telecoms, Life Sciences etc) and distribution channels. Accountable for meeting/exceeding sales goals and objectives within a designated territory. Responsible for maintaining effective records and agreements and proactively supporting the corporation's Win Strategy. Essential Functions:

  • Proactively identify new opportunities, and major sources of sales revenues, in which existing products or services can be utilized.
  • Identify applications where our science and technology can realistically be exploited to create new products to realize those potentials.
  • Map out strategic accounts and markets by identifying technical, product and service needs, where the value resides, key decision makers & power sponsors, opportunities for revenue, product or service expansion
  • Effective networking to penetrate deep into target account(s) and broaden the appeal of Parker Chomerics at varying levels of hierarchy.
  • Establish, organize and participate in technical seminars (Tech Days) or product training
  • Proactively identify and engage the commercial team in "share gain" initiatives to increase revenues above the current market growth rates.
  • Actively lead and participate in exhibitions
  • Manage any distributors that are designated as part of your portfolio to ensure that they are an integral part of the selling channel. Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree required (Business, Mechanical/Chemical/Electronics Engineering preferred)
  • 4-6+ years of experience in direct and/or distributor sales of industrial technical products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
  • PC skills a must along with social media dexterity.
  • Must be able to travel overnight 60% to 70% of time; or as required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to self-motivate and sustain sales growth in territory and be a "door opener".
  • Capable of cross group selling.
  • Must have proven track record of exceeding sales goals
  • Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status. Skills:

  • Must be able to collaborate and build positive relationships with customers, direct / indirect reports, and cross-functionally outside of the commercial organization.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Must have strategic skills to help the commercial team steer the business as we make critical choices and build new capabilities.
