The Retail Standards and Innovation Team is responsible for creating, developing, testing, documenting and communicating architectural programs, details, building and fixturing systems. With a grounding in Apple's environmental, equity, and accessibility values, the Design Standards team supports both the innovation of new design elements and systems, as well as the maintenance and modernization of the existing fleet of Apple retail locations. Working with a diverse group of cross-functional partners both internal and external to Apple, this position will provide the opportunity to assist with the development, documentation, and communication of the meticulous design standards for Apple's worldwide retail fleet. Key Qualifications 6+ years of architecture and construction industry experience Professional degree - architecture or construction management preferred Demonstrate flexible thinking and creative problem solving within a fast-paced environment Impeccable attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills required to develop strong relationships with a wide variety of functional experts Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and finalize projects effectively and independently Working knowledge of BIM tools, strategies, and advantages highly valued Strong knowledge of CAD and presentation tools. iWork suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office, etc. Description - Assist the standards team to manage documentation of Design Standards through prototypical BIM models, Construction Documents, Specifications, Design Manuals, Product Standards, Shop Drawings and supporting information - Work with external Architectural and Engineering vendors to create and maintain prototypical documentation - Collaborate on individual design initiatives and develop innovative strategies to streamline incorporation into Standards documentation - Lead Standards design initiatives, from research, through development, and integration into prototypical documentation - Assist with Website deployment of Retail Design Standards - Assist coordination of ongoing BIM (Revit) versioning control and communication - Work cross-functionally with internal Apple groups to integrate new initiatives into Standards documentation - Contribute to strategic thinking and innovative development of improvements to standard documentation, communication, and training Education & Experience Additional Requirements
