SCADA Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
The SCADA Analyst is responsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of the enterprise SCADA system. The position will design and deploy automation technologies to reduce operational cost, improve runtime and support our culture of safety. The SCADA Analyst participates in new project design and as project team member from kickoff to completion. The position will provide superior customer support to SCADA system users. Takes direction from Sr. SCADA staff and/or SCADA Manager. Solves a range of mid-level to difficult problems. The SCADA Analyst requires a detail-oriented skillset with exceptional problem solving skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Implement enterprise SCADA system across all areas of operation
* Partner with the automation team to ensure completion of daily and project field work
* Work with stakeholders to ensure 24/7 availability of the SCADA system
* Coordinate testing of new solutions or changes to existing solutions to ensure integrity and quality
* Document all new procedures; refresh procedures as needed; perform training as necessary
* Develop and maintain standards for programing, hardware and software
* Work with field technicians to resolve and test new devices
* Work with field staff to troubleshoot and resolve communication issues
* Perform system maintenance and operational changes
* Develop and improve on existing techniques and processes
* Other tasks as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Experience with SCADA software such as Ignition, CygNet, Wonderware, etc.
* Experience with Python, SQL, and C# .NET; proficiency in .NET
* Experience with various types of remote devices such as Allen Bradley, Fisher ROC, Total Flow, etc.
* Experience in SQL tools and relational databases
* Ability to work an on-call rotation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with standard communication protocols (Modbus, ROC Plus, etc.) and TCP/IP
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point and Project)
* Must be detail oriented with strong problem solving skills
* Must be a team player that possesses the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
