We actively partner with our client of over 40 years and their third-party administrator to solve sophisticated defined benefit pension cases. Our team is highly motivated and supportive. This role can be virtual, hybrid, or working fully from an office. Your location must be in the United States, and preferably in the lower 48. What the day will look like You will develop Excel workbooks to prepare highly customized benefit calculations using historical data and relying on pension plan documents and resources. You will: Become adept in finding and analyzing historical data from multiple resources. Work with and support experienced team members all working together to support the same client. Draft emails summarizing your findings and communicating results to be sent to the client and benefits administrator Participate in various conference calls and video meetings How this opportunity is different Through our long history of partnership with this client, we have a large team that is deep with experience and expertise. Your opportunities and responsibilities will grow as you demonstrate a solid understanding of their plan provisions and administrative interpretations. Skills and experience that will lead to success Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study is preferred (such as business, finance, or mathematics)-but not required. Experience: Prior experience in pension administration work is a plus. Additional requirements: Demonstrated proficiency in using Windows computer systems and Microsoft Office programs Advanced knowledge of Excel required Proficiency in general math skills and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as pension plan documents and IRS or DOL guidance Ability to work independently as well as with a team Flexibility to work additional hours on occasion to support client needs How we support our colleagues The target salary range for this position is $45,000-60,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
