External Reporting Senior Analyst (Hybrid Onsite/Remote)

The External Reporting Senior Analyst is responsible for assisting in the research, preparation, documentation and production of all of the Company's financial filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). This includes the quarterly Form 10-Q's, annual Form 10-K's and the review of other external communications involving financial information, including the Company's quarterly earnings releases and Form 8-K's. The External Reporting department ensures that the disclosures included in the Company's SEC filings are appropriate to meet SEC disclosure requirements, as well as guidelines under U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Additionally, the External Reporting Senior Analyst will assist in the analysis of new accounting standards, perform analysis for the proper accounting and disclosure of certain technical accounting areas and ensure compliance with the Company's established internal control framework through process and control documentation. This person will also be part of a team working directly with our internal and external auditors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities



  • Research and analyze significant and/or complex accounting issues, prepare and maintain technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner, and present results directly to management.
  • Understand U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SEC rules and regulations and apply those rules in practice.
  • Assist in identifying changes in professional standards, pronouncements, laws, guidelines and other requirements and work with the appropriate parties to ensure compliance with those changes.
  • Work on special projects identified by senior management to find strategic solutions to issues facing this growing international company. This includes participation in transaction-related work steps, such as acquisitions, valuations, divestitures and related necessary public filings due to significant transactions as they occur.
  • Maintain established reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
  • Perform month, quarter and year-end closing procedures and reporting for restructuring, impairment and transaction-related charges and other areas as assigned.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries as a part of month-end close procedures.
  • Provide support to both external and internal auditors to assist in their completion of an efficient audit for the Company.
  • Assist in the preparation of XBRL tagging for Form 10-Q's and Form 10-K's using the cloud-based platform, WDesk.


  • Coordinate with members in corporate accounting to prepare and maintain supporting documentation for the financial statements and footnotes in the quarterly Form 10-Q's and annual Form 10-K's.


  • Develop and maintain productive relationships within the External Reporting Department, others within the Quad organization and individuals outside of Quad (including external consultants).


Qualifications

Education and/Or Experience



  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 2 - 3 years of public accounting and/or private industry experience, with knowledge of accounting, finance and SEC and financial reporting areas
  • Microsoft platform proficiency
  • Prior industry experience in a similar role, and experience using cloud-based platform WDesk is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) consolidation application is a plus
