  • Experience in AWS Resources, Relational and Non-Relational Databases
  • Expertise in API testing
  • Knowledge in Microservices, Node and React.js

  • Exposure to Devops and CI/CD pipeline integration tools
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Good Communication skills

Summary

Has deep and broad experience in software programming, one or more technologies and/or one or more product lines. Uses advanced software engineering / technical concepts and expertise to make material contributions to architect the framework, test design, coding, troubleshooting and unit testing of software that meets product / customer specifications. Possesses advanced debugging, development, and test/automation code/tools review skills. Is considered the software test programming guru of assigned team(s) or product line. Leads and participates in software test architecture design. Proven project and team leadership skills. QE lead on highly complex projects.

Scope

  • Leads or serves as a strategic technical / software programming resource in the design and implementation of test software (unit test/automation) for software applications, system architectures /framework or software test tools that achieve desired CHC, systems application and development functionality.
  • Solves complex software engineering problems / issues requiring insight and innovation.
  • Leverages knowledge and experience across the business to develop innovative solutions which gain global competitive advantages.
  • Leads the solution of or solves complex / strategic software engineering / technical problems in innovative and effective ways.
  • Decisions and actions frequently influence the work of other team members, other teams, some management decisions, several business processes and material customer outcomes.
  • Leads or develops innovative software engineering / technical solutions that sometimes result in technical / software engineering advances in features and functionality of CHC products.
  • Often participates in and reviews software project estimates.
  • Leads and participates in software design reviews. Creates unique software engineering / technical design solutions.
  • Leads RCA activities for any issue caused by escape or unexpected behavior in area of primary responsibility.
  • First responder during critical outage as needed.
  • Trains, mentors and reviews the work of less experienced personnel.
  • Typically works on projects at the Sub-BU, BU or Enterprise level.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Designs, codes, unit tests, white box tests, and debugs software; writes or participates in code documentation.
  • Leads complex software test engineering / framework designs from products / customer requirements to functional specifications to coding to unit testing and debugging to software acceptance and release.
  • May be engaged in the design of the software architecture / framework and programming features of new families of CHC applications, new CHC platforms, new CHC Systems applications or new tools.
  • Follows development best practices. Socialize and drives new practices.
  • Keeps agile tracking tool(s) up to date.
  • Owns personal career growth, team feature quality (including test strategies and code coverage) and driving team retrospectives. Has vested interest in the growth of others.
  • Recognized as the SME in more than one product area to the organization. Arbitrate technical disagreements.
  • Is a leader on cross-functional teams - primarily leading by example but may have a more formalized leadership role (team lead, primary developer on module, etc.).

  • Able to estimate and plan for task, story and epic level assignments and in novel product areas.
  • Leads product or domain design or architectural strategy discussions. Contributes in areas of expertise.
  • Contributes IP to CHC patent portfolio at the Business Unit level.

    • Insufficient or faulty program architecture
    • Faulty software design, coding, testing, debugging of software code
    • Legal, regulatory and statutory non-compliance in software design or code
  • Errors may result in considerable:
    • Delays in product approvals and shipments

  • Errors can have a significant impact on product functionality, customer operations, future engineering development inefficiencies, and loss of market position/share during system rewrites.
  • Errors may require the application of considerable additional resources to resolve or correct.
  • Root causes of errors can be highly difficult to detect by the QA process.

  • Communicates regularly with technical and product experts and thought leaders throughout CHC.
  • Is an influential individual within the engineering organization.

  • External contacts are regular with individuals of significant technical influence from outside organizations.
  • Serves as a technical resource, provides constructive feedback to others, and drives others to excel.
  • Regularly influences peers and project technical leadership on module strategy and design.
  • Champions our development culture, vision, methodology and projects and may catalyze improvements to quality and delivery within their team.
  • Often interacts with and leads presentations to regulators.
