All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Play a pivotal role in advancing the omni channel experience for customers of Sherwin-Williams's paint stores. Serve as the connective tissue between the internal Data-Driven Experience team ("DDX" - responsible for marketing data and operations, campaign activation, marketing measurement, behavioral analytics and data science) and our internal stakeholders. The Marketing Manager, DDX will serve as the DDX point person for all business-to-business market segments (Residential Repaint, New Residential, Commercial, Multi-Family, Healthcare and Hospitality), as well as the direct-to-consumer market segment (Do It Yourself). The person in this role will be responsible for learning our market segment partners' business needs as well understanding the capabilities and which subject matter experts (SMEs) to engage across the DDX team and its agency partners, which includes customer marketable data, audience/campaign activation, digital integrations, and measurement and analytics projects. Manages at least one direct report, a Marketing Coordinator who will support day-to-day task management and project tracking.
- First 90 days: Getting familiar with DDX team members and capabilities; meeting stakeholders and learning their business needs
- At 180 days: Up to speed on projects in progress, gaining partner and team members' trust, solid base of understanding the work we're all doing together. Ensures DDX team is providing on-time deliverables that meet or exceed market segment teams' needs
- At 365 days: The magic is happening - a trusted partner for our stakeholders and an advocate to the rest of the organization for our team. Versed enough in DDX capabilities to recommend approaches (or connect the right SMEs to do so) that help our partners deliver more data-driven, personal, relevant marketing and customer experiences. Long term path for this role is to grow as a thought partner and strategic leader.
Core Responsibilities
- Be an indispensable partner to our internal business stakeholders, participating in meetings as needed to learn their business; represent the interests of stakeholders to the DDX team
- Work with Segment teams to translate their needs into DDX team requests, including:
- Helping teams as needed through completion of project briefs
- Ensuring DDX understanding of the request/need behind the brief
- Engaging all the right DDX SMEs; ensuring our team and our partners stay in sync
- Own prioritization of all DDX deliverables for segments, prioritizing within and across stakeholders
- Ensure on-time, accurate, executive-level-polished deliverables (which may include customer behavioral analyses, measurement, campaign contact strategies, data activations and more)
- Oversee Marketing Coordinator and centralized intake and project management processes
- Pull together professional presentations, summaries, etc. for key stakeholders based on team's work product
- Ensure that our stakeholders' needs are clearly captured in intake processes and that our outputs meet them; manage stakeholder expectations
- Be a dot-connector - ensure that related requests from different stakeholders are in sync and that deliverables get shared across the organization where appropriate
- Be a thought leader and chief advocate - bring your marketing knowledge and expertise to the table and learn how/who to connect across our team to help our stakeholders and the broader organization understand more about customer insights, marketable data, measurement, data science, and all of our capabilities across the breadth of the customer journey. Think critically and lead the way in providing solutions to complex problems

POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Required:
- 4 Year College Degree or relevant work experience
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Required:
- 2+ years leading marketing projects and/or 4+ years of marketing work in a cross-functional/matrixed environment
- Experience managing relationships with internal or external stakeholders
- Experience managing or collaborating with vendors/agencies or other external partners
- Experience with project management software/tooling (JIRA, Workfront, Trello, Basecamp, or similar)
- Preferred:
- 5-8 years in a marketing role
- Marketing Agency Account Manager/Supervisor or Director experience or as a liaison between internal teams/centers of excellence
- Experience with customer relationship marketing, digital marketing and/or customer analytics
- Familiarity with marketing technology, marketing operations, customer data
- Experience managing direct reports
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required:
- Experience with and understanding of customer relationship marketing, customer experience and/or digital marketing principles and actions
- Demonstrated project management skills, including:
- Ability to track projects to timeline and budget and appropriately handle changes to scope
