LEAD TUMOR REGISTRAR (FT Days) Valley Health System

The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada. Starting with in 1979, the Valley Health System has grown to include, , , and Job Description: Responsible for establishing and maintaining a hospital-based cancer registry that meets or exceeds the standards for cancer registries of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

Education: Associates Degree or 4 years experience required.

Experience: One to three years working in an ACOS approved facility required in addition to education.

Technical Skills: Computer proficiency to include word processing, databases, spreadsheets and knowledge of the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD-0) coding system. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and disease processes related to cancer.

License/Certification: RHIT and/or Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR).

Other: Thorough knowledge of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer requirements for approved cancer programs.
