Lubbock Business Coordinator - H82565 29357BR Position Description Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants. Org Level 7 691506 - Psych Administration Org Level 1 Texas Tech Univ Health Sciences Ctr Campus HSC - Correctional Managed Health Care Department Psych Administration Major/Essential Functions * Supervision/ coordination of clerical staff at the John T. Montford Psychiatric Unit. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years. Preferred Qualifications Position requires a person who is organized, and who is able to work efficiently and effectively in a complex environment and with multiple tasks. Ability to give, understand and follow oral instructions; establish effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates and co-workers; and ability to work under moderate to limited supervision without difficulty. Supervisory, prioritization, computer, record keeping and management skills are essential. Ability to plan and organize projects, ability to make sound decisions, and work effectively under stressful situations is required. Ability to effectively communicate with written and verbal language skills. Must be able to apply problem-solving skills and to rationalize. Must be organized, able to multi-task. Must be able to follow instructions and to provide instructions to others. Must have strong computer skills.
