General Management Consultant, Mid

The Challenge:

In order to drive change in a fast-paced, technical organization effectively, clients need help looking at their operation from the outside. Whether standing up a new organization, transforming an existing one, or transitioning an organization, including mergers and split ups, our clients need a consultant who will take the time to learn the complexities of their business and mission and provide them with tangible advice on improvement, mission success, and standard methodologies. That's why we need you, a management consultant who can analyze every aspect of your customer's operations and give them the roadmap to becoming the organization they envision.

As a general management consultant on our team, you'll build an overall picture of your client's current structure, day-to-day operations, and outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before. You'll use discussions and workshops with leadership and engineers to identify and innovate the elements that work best in their environment and the areas for improvement. Once you have a solid understanding of where and how the organization can improve, you'll work on a path forward - and the expected results - to Navy leadership. This is your chance to gain experience in the development, analysis, coordination, and review of presentations, documentation, reports, and technical artifacts while learning new consulting skills.

You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience with strategic communications or project management
  • 1+ years of experience in DoD, Navy, or NAVWAR organizations
  • Experience with MS Office, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, flexible, proactive, and adaptable to changing client priorities
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple client organizations and teams
  • Ability to author briefings and formulate responses to data calls
  • Ability to work with a team and work independently
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with DoD Acquisition
  • Experience with process improvement or strategic planning
  • Experience with using MS Project, MS Visio, or Tableau
  • Knowledge of DoD Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills
