Deputy Program Manager, Mission Management

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will lead the Space Mobility execution of external customer contracts. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of Space Mobility vehicle development.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe Space Mobility. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead both internal and external facing technical projects from proposal through completion
  • Work closely with operations and systems groups to ensure the successful integration of space vehicle requirements.
  • Primary point of contact for mission integration and contracts
  • Integration of customer requirements and development of mission Interface Control Document
  • Program leadership to ensure system requirement validation and implementation with the technical teams
  • Interface with external customers through the mission integration phase and ensuring excellent customer experience
  • Manage large complex tasks and diverse teams
  • Management of regulatory requirements such as FAA/ITAR/Range
  • Support Business Development interactions with external customers leading to mission integration and launch contracts
  • Lead spacecraft integration and contracts ensuring Blue Origin commitments are met on time, on budget, and with success
  • Integrate customer requirements into Space Mobility vehicle development and services
  • Lead all customer space vehicle integration meetings and mission readiness reviews
  • Participate in proposal and contract development
  • Develop resource-loaded mission Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and coordinate progress with customer

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering
  • 5+ years managing complex, multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, aerospace projects
  • 12+ years industry experience in launch system or satellite operations
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary development projects, including managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost
  • Ability to travel within U.S. and abroad
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Top Secret clearance with current SSBI & SCI Eligibility, preferred
  • Experience with aerospace vehicle development
  • Experience managing subcontracts
  • Experience with verification, integration, and test, of orbital launch vehicles or spacecraft (human rated and otherwise)
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, team building, and people management skills
  • Experience in working with government customers
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience. Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management and Cost Account Management such as EVM.
  • Self-starter, strong bias for action

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Estimated salary wage (Colorado only):$114K- $201K
