PHE workshops and how to teach them effectively
* Learn and commit to teaching at least two-four workshops per week in an assigned
PHE partner high school
* Build quality relationships with the students in your class
* Build quality relationships with high school staff
* Ensure that all workshop technology is accounted for and in good condition after use
* Balance
PHE as a priority with other academic, professional, and personal commitments
* Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with peers, young people and adults
* Use a positive youth development approach and ensure LGBTQ+ inclusivity in all programming
* Participate in weekly/bi-weekly workshop group meetings
* Research age-appropriate, inclusive, unbiased, medically accurate, and culturally responsive health resources in the local area and share health resources with young people during workshop sessions to increase access to health resources in the local community
* Follow protocols to enter schools safely (i.e. temperature checks, wearing mask, etc.)
* Attend Friday seminars on Auraria Campus to plan and collaborate with fellow HEs from 11am-1:50pm during the Fall 2022 regular semester calendar |
