Position Summary
Peer Health Exchange ( PHE) is a non-profit organization that builds healthier communities with young people. Together, we create educational opportunities for peers to share tools and resources young people need to make healthy choices. We do this by training young adults to teach a skills-based health curriculum in public high schools across the country. PHE's vision is, with our partners, to advance health equity and improve health outcomes for young people.
PHE Health Educators (HEs) are trained to facilitate a PHE curriculum in high schools in their local communities. Health Educators co-facilitate, with a fellow Health Educator, a 12-week (minimum) health education curriculum to high school students. Health Educators are expected to teach between 2-4 classes per week for at least 12 weeks for the Fall semester of the academic school year. Health Educators will receive training and be supported by a PHE staff member.
This is a course and can be taken for 3 credit hours OR as an audited class for no credits. You will be paid either way.

This course can also be used for internship credit (you will still be paid) with departmental approval. #LI- DNI
