Ramboll is seeking a full-time Managing Consultant or Senior Managing Consultant to join the Site Solutions group in our Irvine or Los Angeles, CA office. Typical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of investigation and remediation projects in various regulatory programs.
  • Management of regulatory interactions.
  • Remediation system design and implementation.
  • Leading strategy for path to regulatory closure.
  • Data analysis and report/presentation development.
  • Deliverables tracking and budget management.
  • Client management and business development activities.
  • Coaching/mentoring and training of junior staff.

  • Minimum requirement is B.S. or M.S. in geology, hydrogeology, or environmental engineering (or related engineering field).
  • Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 10 - 20years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • Expertise in analysis of remediation approaches including RAP and CMS development.
  • Experience in detailed design/implementation of engineered systems (i.e., SVE, AS) to remediate soil, soil vapor and groundwater.
  • Experience in detailed design/implementation of in-situ remedial technologies including ISCO, ISCR, phytoremediation and bioremediation using various amendments.
  • Experience remediating a variety of COCs including VOCs, metals, SVOCs, and PFAS in soil, soil vapor, and groundwater.
  • Track record in achieving regulatory closure of impacted sites with various regulatory agencies.
  • Expertise in redevelopment of impacted properties.
  • Expertise in evaluation of VI and design/implementation of vapor mitigation systems.
  • Experience with remedial investigation methods in both alluvial and bedrock geology.
  • Excellent project management, written, and client communication/management skills.
  • Experience with data visualization techniques.
  • Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, Brownfields, and Voluntary regulatory programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid OSHA HAZWOPER training.

Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible force constantly to move objects; must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, sit, push/pull, lift and grasp, worker may be subjected to frequent repetitive motions, extreme weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, loud noises and hazards (i.e.: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, gases or poor ventilation).
  • Worker may be required to wear protective equipment, respirator and/or a HAZMAT suit.
