Job Description Business Area: PBWM - CRA Mortgage Advisory Functional Title: CRA Loan Assistant Officer Status: Professional 1 Reporting To: Managing Director, CA CRA Mortgage Advisory Job Summary: The CRA Loan Assistant (LA) is responsible for overall support of CRA Mortgage Advisors in originating new residential financing transactions and assisting with special projects as requested. Depending on the location of the role, the LA may also be required to perform administrative responsibilities for the office as a whole. Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities: Field and respond to initial inquiry calls and emails for pre-approvals, purchases and refinances. Assist clients and potential clients whenever possible and send applicants the Bank's Loan Application (1003/URLA), "Mortgage Documentation" Checklist, and Borrower's Authorization form. Assist Loan Coordinators as needed. Assist CRA Mortgage Advisors with pre-approval requests by ensuring complete loan application and support documents are received and provide timely follow-up when needed. Prepare documentation for review by CRA Mortgage Advisors. Upload documents into Encompass. Update pre-approval tracking reports (location specific). Serve as first point of contact and communication for clients to assist Mortgage Advisor. Assist the CRA Mortgage Advisors in preparing and submitting Lender Packages to Program Administrators for special programs i.e. Below Market Rate (BMR), Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance, Mortgage Credit Certificates, WISH Program, etc. Support CRA Mortgage Advisors on special projects as assigned. Answer calls and forward to appropriate person/ department. Maintain adequate supply of collateral materials for delivery to potential clients. Prepare materials for First Time Homebuyer classes & events. Assemble paper loan application packages for CRA Mortgage Advisors when requested. Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience loan administrative assistance experience preferred Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. Excellent client service and process management skills.
