The Agile Coach will be a strong expert practitioner with skills to educate and help mature multiple scrum teams, with deep knowledge of the practicalities in the agile/lean space. The coach will have a range of skills in teaching, mentoring, facilitating and professional coaching, and their own delivery style which will be a blend of all these techniques. The coach will also work with senior leadership to increase team effectiveness and implement Agile principles.
How you will make an impact:
  • Works with Scrum Teams, programs and leaders to adopt new ways of thinking, and adapt the way they work.
  • Guides and leads the team to follow agile principles and practices.
  • Facilitates agile discipline to cultivate effective team dynamics and nurture team to self-direct, embrace and exhibit the agile mindset.
  • Builds commitment from different org level leaders (Product, Technology and Business directors and VPs) to enhance organizational agility.
  • Designs and leads new team workshops in complex agile concepts in coordination with other Agile Coaches.
  • Guides teams through standard daily activities, with intention of upskilling the Scrum Master, Product Owner/team, and transferring accountability after initial sprints (model, coach, and empower).
  • Coaches to positively reinforce an Agile mindset, practices, and skills to teams, individuals and leaders
  • Mentors Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Product Managers and Technology Managers to enable innovative servant leadership and empowerment of teams.
  • Leads process improvement initiatives that have enterprise impact.

What we look for:
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in the Agile adoption space in addition to a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Agile Coaching techniques through Agile Coaching Institute or CRR Global, or Co-Active coaching skills.
  • Skillful in Kanban and lean methods and scaling methods like LeSS or Scrum @ Scale.
  • Understanding of applying Agile assessment techniques to measure agile maturity.
  • Awareness and knowledge of CI-CD/DevOps and Cloud space to enable the organization navigate challenges in adopting Agile in those environments.
  • Knowledgeable about applying Capex/Opex financial accounting in the Agile space.
  • Expert in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution.
  • Expert practitioner with skills to educate and help mature Scrum teams.
  • Expert in various agile methodologies, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP.
  • Proven ability to train, onboard, coach and mentor others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels within Scrum Teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with Visioning, Road-mapping, Release Planning, Iterative Planning/Continuous Planning (Scrum/Kanban events).
  • Strategic perspective in enabling planning, continuous improvement, and thoughtful data driven decisions.
  • Ability to maintain an enterprise perspective and partner with Senior Leadership.
  • SAFE SPC Certification (recommended).
  • CSP, CEC or equivalent certification preferable not required.
