Buckeye Partners is currently seeking an Associate Operations Analyst with experience supporting operations applications in a highly secure environment in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team!

Role Summary:

This position is responsible providing analysis and recommendations for the Operations and SCADA systems staff in managing, monitoring, and documenting Microsoft Windows, Citrix and VMware systems in a highly secure environment.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:




  • Process and Procedure Support. Supporting standard procedures processes and policies for the operations group including production, data control, operations, operations support, and change management.



  • Documentation Management. Create and maintain documentation related to SCADA and business systems, system installation, new application deployment, and automation through scripting.



  • System Alerts & Security. Respond to system & security alerts in a timely manner. Elevate to the appropriate parties when applicable.



  • IT Support. Provide support to IT staff regarding system administration and maintenance. Provide analysis and recommendations to appropriate parties regarding administrative and maintenance issues.



  • Patch Management. Document and perform system patching and update procedures for servers and appliances.



  • Technical Support. Install, configure, monitor, update and, troubleshoot existing and new Microsoft Windows server operating systems and associated storage.



  • Technical Support. Install, manage and troubleshoot remote application and desktop delivery using Citrix.



  • And other duties as assigned.





Position Requirements:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience required.



  • Previous experience with Microsoft Windows server products, Citrix, Vmware, and Microsoft Office products including Visio required.



  • Previous experience working in a Process control or SCADA environment required.



  • Experience preferred in the following: Experience with Citrix Xen server, Citrix Netscaler, Cisco UCS, HPE Servers, SAN storage, Powershell, Solarwinds Orion, Quest Kace, Evault, SCCM, WSUS, PRTG, RSA, Netwrix


  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally

Other Skills, Attributes and Abilities:




  • Ability to lead project initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to assist PC users in a pleasant, non-technical manner for problem resolution.
  • Proven ability to recognize symptoms, analyze system data, and take corrective actions when problems arise.
  • This position requires good visual acuity, with a large portion of the time using a PC or other screen.



Essential Functions:

  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.



  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.




Physical & Safety Requirements:





  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.



  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
