Position Responsibilities

As an IT Architect, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and implementing IT Solutions driven by business and security requirements. You will collaborate closely with the IT engineers and Global Information Security (GIS) team to provide guidance on secure design concepts, validating system design and implement solutions like Identify and access management (IAM).

  • Provide architectural/engineering leadership and oversight (e.g., understand business drivers and strategies to ensure alignment with IT and business direction). Collaborates with other IT engineers to share best practices and insights
  • Design solutions that balance business requirements and end user impacts with IT and security requirements
  • Work closely with business leaders to identify, prioritize and document business requirements; recommend technology solution alternatives; and participate in roadmap planning process
  • Develops and maintains a secure architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement infrastructure and security solutions and capabilities that are aligned with business, technology, and threat drivers
  • Develops and maintains security architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards, and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations
  • Determines baseline security configuration standards for operating systems (e.g., operating system hardening), network segmentation
  • Work closely with GIS to design and implement security solutions such as identity and access management (IAM) solutions
  • Validates IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices, and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risk where applicable
  • Review architecture and processes of existing IT apps and provide recommendations to improve application architecture and security
  • Create roadmap to enhance Deltek security based on latest trends and technologies
  • Analyze vulnerability reports and recommend steps to reduce IT risk scores
  • Reviews security technologies, tools, and services, and makes recommendations to the broader IT team for their use based on security and operational metrics
  • Provides expertise in high availability, disaster recovery planning, and automation of IT related tasks

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or a related field
  • 15+ years of IT & Security experience
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure such as Servers, SAN's, fiber switch, firewalls, IPSs, WAFs and endpoint protection
  • Experience with design and implementing complex IT COTS solutions
  • Experience with deploying and managing security tools like crowdstrike, zscaler, Duo
  • 5+ years of designing and deploying modern cloud platforms like Office 365, AWS & Azure
  • Designing and implementing IAM program and solutions
  • 5+ experience with scripting tools like PowerShell, powerCLI
  • Documented experience and a strong working knowledge of the methodologies to conduct security architecture review on new applications and services
  • Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure:
    • Applications
    • Databases
    • Operating systems (Windows, UNIX and Linux)
    • Hypervisors (VMWare)
    • IP networks (WAN, LAN, SDWAN, BGP)
    • Storage networks (Fiber Channel, iSCSI and network-attached storage)
    • Backup networks and disaster recovery
  • Strong working knowledge of IT service management (e.g., ITIL-related disciplines):
    • Change management
    • Configuration management
    • Problem management
  • Understanding of various compliance frameworks like NIST, SOX, COBIT
  • IT and Security certifications like MTA, CCNA & CISSP
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
