This role will coach teammates and lead initiatives across teams. Participate and lead code reviews with teammates and across teams. Identify new development architecture patterns and enforce the use of them. Develop create and modify computer software applications in an agile and fast phase environment. Working independently with minimal guidance on multiple tasks across multiple scrum teams. Ensuring code standards and code quality and security are met. Working closely with product, making sure applications are meeting business needs. Understanding application architecture and design, suggesting improvements and updates to application architecture.

This role is telecommute with expectations to come into the Schaumburg, IL office 2-3 days a week

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop create and modify computer software applications in an agile and fast phase environment
• Working independently with minimal guidance on multiple tasks across multiple scrum teams
• Ensuring code standards and code quality and security are met
• Working closely with product, making sure applications are meeting business needs
• Understanding application architecture and design, suggesting improvements and updates to application architecture
• Mentoring junior engineers/developers

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced understanding of Basics of Object-Oriented programing - (Java preferred)
• Advanced understanding of relational database concepts - (SQL preferred)
• Advanced understanding of Single Page Applications - (Angular preferred)
• Coach Mentality - Coach teammates and across team initiatives
• Lead code review sessions with teammates and across teams
• Identify new development architecture patterns and train the team on how to use them
