Senior Clinical Quality Analyst - Telecommute - Colorado

The Senior Clinical Quality Analyst supports United Healthcare/RMHP objectives and priorities by facilitating and coaching designated teams in the implementation of redesign and quality improvement strategies to improve health plan performance on prioritized metrics and projects. Assists in assessment of progress and recommends strategies to achieve collaborative goals and facilitate sustainability. Use project management and communication skills and work collaboratively with the Manager and other intra and extra department managers to coordinate assigned projects and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Utilizes technical and professional experience to implement and monitor performance goals
  • Utilizes digital design and strong communication skills (writing and oral) to deliver content/messaging through various mediums to the provider network and other external stakeholders
  • Utilizes clinical knowledge of physical and behavioral health care to support quality review activities. Integrates this activity with other initiatives such as HEDIS and other health plan activities and key performance indicators
  • Utilize project management skills including planning, development, coordination, monitoring, reporting and evaluations of program/initiatives
  • Assists with development of programs, projects and strategies to improve Member/provider satisfaction, total cost of care, health equity initiatives, and better health outcomes.
  • Participates in or coordinates with other department projects as needed
  • Travel to job related meetings and activities may be required

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in health care management, nursing, behavioral health, related field or the combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position
  • 5+ years of post graduate progressive medical related experience with a minimum of 2-3 of those years in public health, quality improvement, and ambulatory settings
  • 1+ years of experience with coordinating and monitoring projects and programs
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Products Suite
  • Experience with quality improvement principles to include research and measurement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and functions at all levels of the organization and external customers
  • Demonstrated solid oral and written communication skills that includes digital design and using communication platforms (ie. Zoom, Salesforce, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Knowledge base of clinical standards of care, preventive health standards, HEDIS, NCQA, governing and regulatory agency requirements
  • Ability to interact with staff at all Company levels and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree
  • 1+ years of working in managed care or insurance industry, and working with coordinating and monitoring projects and programs
  • Experience with health data analysis and health education
  • Experience with health information technology
  • Attention to detail

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
