As Manager of Compliance, you will manage a team responsible for monitoring changes with internal laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines. Primary Responsibilities:



  • Establish, mandate and implement standard policies, procedures and best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations
  • Conduct specific legal research and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
  • Manage a compliance function that monitors compliance with federal legislation and international law which meets the best business practice standards in health care
  • Develop and leading training and education on compliance related topics
  • Investigate identified compliance matters, including corrective action and mitigation


The fundamental question you'll be faced with every day is are we investigating the right things? That's not an easy question and requires a deep knowledge of the industry and the issues at hand, even as they change. You will also be responsible for promoting compliance activities and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree
  • 3+ years of project management experience, including experience simultaneously managing multiple projects
  • 2+ years of experience working in a government, legal, healthcare, managed care and/or health insurance environment in a regulatory, privacy or compliance role
  • Demonstrated competence in international due diligence and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated capability to research U.S Department of Treasury and relevant international sources for potential OFAC issues
  • Knowledge of OIG/GSA and export control laws and regulations
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance.
