Opportunity at a Glance

The Marketing Specialist for Chamberlain University works with cross functional teams to drive and support new enrollment growth. This includes understanding the product, market, competition and consumer behavior. This role will be responsible helping support strategic plan execution and ensure that all marketing materials (digital, print, email, etc.) align to the overall objectives and are executed with high quality.

This role will report to the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Manage marketing projects to ensure delivery is on time and high quality.
  • Conduct post-campaign write-up in partnership with marketing manager and centers of excellence.
  • Partner with admissions, academics and student services to implement plans, events and scholarships.
  • Help build and maintain product data sources including periodic maintenance, review and updating of all assets and materials.
  • Conducts competitive scans and maintains competitive analysis files by using primary and secondary information.
  • Monitors and reviews communications and marketing tactics to ensure that consistent, relevant and compliant messages are distributed.
  • Coordinates and routes collateral through appropriate channels for approvals.
  • Develop and maintain Marketing Resource management site.
  • Generate, build, or automate reports as necessary for team members.
  • Conduct periodic maintenance, review and updating of all assets and materials.
  • Provide training and answer day-to-day questions from users regarding various marketing tools and systems.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a major in marketing related area.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing and/or marketing communications.
  • Previous experience with email marketing and web content management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and proven application of branding and effective integrative marketing concepts.
  • Basic understanding of marketing tactics.
  • Ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to complete tasks/projects.
  • Ability to work independently at a fast pace; a self-starter with demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Accuracy and accountability for work.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
