Job Summary

Supports faculty, students and staff and actively promotes a focus on good online teaching practices, facilitates development of cutting-edge delivery models that promote accessibility, scalability, and student success. Other related faculty support responsibilities as requested by director, associate dean or dean. Provides academic instructional support services to faculty and students in our online programs, as well as support for virtual classroom technologies and related services for faculty, students, and staff.

Serves as an Institutional Administrator for the state-wide LMS. Participates in the administration of our online LMS which includes: user management, creation of sandboxes and demo accounts and courses. Provides input regarding third-party integrations.

Provides Level 3 user-support, troubleshoots LMS and course offering issues and processes.

Responsibilities

- Designs, delivers, and manages media-rich online faculty d - 35
Designs, delivers, and manages media-rich online faculty development programs. POC for faculty in need of webinars, support and development.

- Implements, serves as administrator, and provides level 3 - 25
Serves as an LMS administrator, and provides level 3 support on of a variety of distance learning software, services, and initiatives. Provides feedback to Director and Assistant Director on emerging and instructional technologies.

- Promotes online Faculty Community seminars and resources - 20
Promotes and supports online 'Faculty Community' seminars, discussions and resources and faculty support via electronic correspondence and telephone support utilizing industry standard resources, multimedia, and web applications.

- Other related faculty and student support responsibilities - 10
Other related faculty and student support responsibilities as requested by director, associate dean, assistant dean or dean.

Internal eCampus support - 10
Collaboration with internal eCampus groups to support processes and procedures such as proctored exams, student appeals, Incomplete grades, documentation, etc.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree

Other Required Qualifications
1 year minimum of LMS experience

Required Experience
minimum of 3 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing web content and asynchronous learning modules; Experience supporting online learning faculty and students in higher education or other setting; Experience working with Brightspace by D2L (or alternate LMS), related distance education technologies and tools (online audio/video, etc); Demonstrated ability to interact in a diverse, multi-cultural community of educators and learners; Ability to prioritize multiple, completing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced team environment; Thorough knowledge of and experience using a variety of distance education technologies; Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of both current practices and emerging trends in distance learning and technologies related to this field.

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree preferred

Preferred Experience
Teaching or faculty support experience is preferred.

Proposed Salary

$59,000 Anually

Ability to perform work duties on computer approximately 40 hours per week.
