DevSecOps Engineer

The Opportunity:

DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevOps engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness-so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We're looking for a DevOps engineer like you to help develop critical tools-and get them into the hands of those who need them most.

As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help streamline the software development life cycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You'll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best-create. You'll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to develop your experience in the latest automation, infrastructure, and cloud-based development while developing software that will make a mission-forward impact. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering,software development, or system administration
  • Experience with Cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services(AWS),S3, Elastic Compute Cloud(EC2), or Linux operating systems
  • Experience with configuring and using DevOps bundled tools, including Atlassian or GitLab
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and thesoftware development life cycle(SDLC)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD technologies and configurations
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) or end state management technologies
  • Experience with developing AWS services
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
