Aon is looking for a Director, Investment Banking, in our Reinsurance group. This role will be responsible for leading transaction origination, structuring, due diligence, and execution. Close collaboration with all members of the Aon Securities team, as well as with other key constituencies within Aon's reinsurance business will be key. This individual will possess proven origination and transactions execution experience, with a broad array of financings for insurance and reinsurance company clients. They will have executed and completed numerous transactions, with an emphasis on insurance-linked securities for domestic and international insurance/reinsurance company issuers. This role requires a track record of success in originating, structuring, negotiating, and executing transactions. This induvial will serve as a trusted advisor to sophisticated insurance and reinsurance clients on financing strategies and other strategic matters. Position Responsibilities: Determine short and long-term business strategy with other team members as it relates to the firm's core product offerings, and the appropriate resource levels for the team Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with clients and prospective clients Market and execute a variety of investment banking and capital raising transactions Contribute to the research and innovation related to transferring risks and new structural solutions Strengthen the firm's brand Drive global connectivity and collaboration between Aon Securities and other business units across Aon Commercial Orientation: Exceeds revenue or profitability goals Conceives and executes business development initiatives with existing or prospective with a wide spectrum of clients Sets stretch targets on the commercial metrics as the key performance indicators for the team Strategic Thinking: Assesses competitors, clients, and market segments to set ambitious but pragmatic business objectives Evaluates business mix across the firms' investment banking platform Develops short-term and long-term strategies Building People Capability: Actively engages with all members of the team, gives critical feedback in performance reviews, and suggests areas for development Utilizes existing Aon programs to support employees' career growth in individual ways Key Leadership Dimensions: Managing and Coaching People- Assembles and develops high performing teams; influences desired outcomes by understanding and communicating vision and expected outcomes; provides training and guidance to help staff members improve their skills and knowledge; Applied Critical Thinking - Anticipates and reacts to business goals and opportunities strategically and creatively; takes a leading role in developing and sponsoring new services; Acts with Integrity - Integrates the Aon values of integrity, trust, character, pride and ethics into all aspects of work; demonstrates a high level of consistency between words and actions across all business situations; accepts ultimate responsibility for results; always advocates for the best interests of clients, employees and shareholders; Commitment to Success - Networks within Aon and the marketplace to develop professional relationships; demonstrates unwavering commitment to high performance in the process of account management; sets a personal standard of high quality and integrity for self and others; Key Qualifications: 12+ years' experience within the insurance sector, with expertise in sourcing, structuring, and executing a variety of structured finance and advisory transactions Excellent communication skills and leadership skills Experience with capital raising, strategic advisory, and insurance sector expertise Extensive knowledge and understanding of the insurance and reinsurance industries Ability to develop and maintain relationships with sophisticated insurance company clients BS/BA or equivalent experience We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
