Practices located in the Jacksonville area is growing and has full-time opportunities for experienced Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Experience in Primary Care preferred. One year of medical office experience is required. Primary Job Responsibilities for Medical Assistant include but are not limited to: Patient Intake - taking height, weight, vitals, and medical history Procedure Room Assisting, documenting procedure notes, triage, provider and incoming task, prepping the room for providers, and able to administer State & Private vaccinations. Front desk check-in, check out, scheduling, and referrals. Answering incoming phone calls Basic medical terminology Insurance verifications but not limited to just the listed requirements. Schedule: 8-hour shift Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Medical Office experience: 1 year (Preferred) Insurance Verification knowledge Basic Medical Terminology knowledge EMR system knowledge (Preferred) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) Medical Assistant experience: 1 year (Preferred) Additional Job Qualifications/Skills: COVID vaccine required Infection Control Medical Assistant skills Administering Medication Flexibility in the workplace Previous venipuncture experience Previous injection experience Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a provider's direction Good communication skills and interpersonal skills Vital Signs Accuracy Strong clinical knowledge Computer proficient EMR system knowledge Work Location: Jacksonville, NC Work Job Type: Full-time COVID-19 considerations: All staff members, as well as patients, are required to wear a mask, common surfaces are sanitized regularly, and vaccination is required for staff members.
