Assistant Director of Development, Neurology General Description: The Assistant Director of Development, reporting to the Executive Director of Development, works with the Neurology Development team in the stewardship of donors and volunteers, donor relations, planning and execution of stewardship events, and developing marketing and communications. The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00pm. This will include some nights, early morning, and weekend work with travel for selected events required. The Assistant Director develops, deploys, and promotes key components of departmental programming to engage and thank donors and proactively identifies, develops, implements and evaluates new opportunities to engage, steward, and recognize leadership volunteers and donors at all levels. The Assistant Director develops and oversees marketing and communications efforts on behalf of the Department. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Stewardship - 50% Works collaboratively with colleagues across medicine and the institution to build stronger donor relations, acknowledgment, and recognition processes, assisting department gift officers with stewardship of donors, ensuring donors remain connected to Johns Hopkins through regular thank you phone calls, emails, and in-person contact.
