Job Summary This position is scheduled to begin August 2023. The position will provide coordination and instruction for the incoming students into the associate degree nursing program. Instruction will include a variety of teaching methods, such as classroom, lab, simulation and clinical instruction to students in fundamentals, and basic medical-surgical nursing. Uses online, hybrid, face to face methods of instruction requiring a heavy utilization of technology. Demonstrates commitment to student success for diverse populations. Uses effective interpersonal, leadership and organization skills while instructing in an integrated curriculum designed using the Nurse of the Future Competencies. Demonstrates commitment to service excellence, innovation, student success, integrity and diversity in the performance of job duties. Minimum Qualifications
Desired Qualifications A. Master of science degree in Nursing B. Recent experience as a registered nurse in long term care, restorative, or medical surgical nursing C. Knowledge of, and/or experience with curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse range of populations, including cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, age, gender, disabilities, learning styles, life-style preferences, first generation college, etc. D. Knowledge of, and/or experience with the use of technology including classroom applications, simulation, and hybrid or online learning E. Evidence of scholarship in clinical practice or nursing education F. Experience teaching fundamentals, medical surgical nursing Special Working Conditions
