Position Reports to: Food and Beverage Director & F&B Controller

Positions Reporting to this Role: Shipping & Receiving Lead and Transporters

Location: Washington

Wage Range: 26.00 - 28.00

JOB SUMMARY

The Purchasing and Receiving Manager is responsible for purchasing and receiving for all of Crystal Mountain, in addition to, inventory for Crystal Mountain Inc. This position works closely with Director of Food and Beverage Operations, Resort Executive Chef, Controller, Beverage Manager, and Venue Managers. As the manager you should guide your team daily and weekly, by delivering daily tasks, operations & duties. You are expected to be fully aware of all product - its location and quantity. You are held to a higher standard and should set an example as a professional in this industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES-

Responsibilities required from you:

  • Completion of monthly inventory
  • Completion of daily transfers and requisitions
  • Managing & scheduling of all deliveries
  • Hiring & training of staff
  • Other duties as assigned


Responsibilities required from you and your team:

  • Performs work involving receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, packing, labeling, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of forms, kitchen supplies, and several types of equipment.
  • Rotates stock and arranges for disposal of surpluses. F.I.F.O. First in, First Out.
  • Records accurate inventory of all items on hand.
  • Knows the tasks at hand and delegates these tasks to other team members while managing labor to complete these tasks.
  • Train staff on how to properly handle all inventory that comes to the mountain.
  • Coordinates moving/transfers of stock between all F&B venues.
  • Ensures proper techniques for delivery of all ordered products through cross referencing.
  • Maintains a clean environment; performs cleaning duties as required or assigned.
  • Provides support to the F&B leadership team, and act in direct partnership with all venue managers.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by the F&B leadership team.
  • Operates and communicates all maintenance of snow cat/food hauls, including checking fluids and filing fuel in mountain vehicles. While working around machinery safely both day and night.
  • Protects the organization, the members, and the guests by adhering to all safety and food storage policies; including but not limited to Washington state Health & Liquor Department regulations.
  • Develops and maintains an organizational culture, values and reputation with staff, customers, and vendors. Ensuring a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.
  • Abides by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS-

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Food & Beverage.
  • Required experience in purchasing via supply chain.
  • Required to work with vendors and other 3rd party companies.
  • Must have a valid M.A.S.T. card.
  • Must have a valid Washington State Food Handlers card.
  • Recommended to have ski/snowboard skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS-

  • This position is required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays while in operation.
  • A worker in this position must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions to the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Position may require sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or bending on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. properly and safely.
  • Must be able to maneuver up to 160lbs properly and safely.
  • This position requires a person steadfast and able to work exhaustible hours in a laborious and demanding job in varying weather conditions.
