Position Overview Full time; 36 hours per week Night Shift; 7pm - 7am We are a 24-bed general surgery unit specializes in GYN, Urology, Plastics, vascular, neuro, spine, and abdominal procedures. Our patient population is diverse and interesting. As a Unit Coordinator, you will function in a charge nurse / staffing capacity role at times, but also have alternate tasks ranging from audits, staff schedules, patient experience, and committee work. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. Minimum Requirements Experience 18 months of nursing experience isrequired License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) Education RN-Bachelor's Degree - required RN-Master's Degree - preferred Hospital Overview Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, VA, is aMagnet Status, general medical and surgicalfacility with 160 beds.The hospital offers a full-service emergency room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, Oncology and Stroke services. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. 18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty. Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
